Burgers at the burgerroom in hk

Today we went to the burgerroom in caussaway bay... We had a mushroom beef burger, beef burger with cheese, onion and avacado. This came with curly fries for and regular ones for nicole. The fries where bad 4/10. Burgers where good, but could be a lot better. We paid 188 hk dollar including drinks. 6/10

Fresh Seafood on Cheung Chau Island (HK)

First we did our shopping on the wetmarket of the island. At a small coffee place the owner told us which restaurant to go, and which one to skip to have our fresh seafood cooked! We went to the market and bought 2 blue crabs, 1 fish, and a bag of fresh seashells, for all fresh living seafood we paid 140HK dollar.

At the restaurant we handed our bag and told the staff how we liked it, The fish and shells we had steamed and the crab fried! The taste was amazingly fresh and good, seldomly tasted such good crab and fish! We also ordered a beer, a coke, noodles and some vegetables, for the cooking and drinks the restaurant charged us 188HK dollar, so after adding it up we spend 328HK dollar / 29 euro. Rating 9/10

We will be back soon here, great food for a amazing price!

Great bar with good food! We had salad with salmon, bruschette and a burger but that one never lasted long enough to make a photo! 200rmb for this meal 7.5/10

Vietnam food :-)

Had a supper nice and healthy meal on tuesday, a new vietnamese place! it looked and tasted all great! 8/10, we paid 275 hk dollar for this feast!

Indonesian meal yesterday

Yesterday we had a indonesian meal, great sate, gado gado, beef stew and fried rice! Rating 6.5/10 low rating as it was not cheap.. 400 hk dollar for the lot!

Tuesday and nicole cooked!

Today a pleasant surprise, nicole did the shopping and the cooking! We had udon noodles with shrimp and mushrooms, fried chicken wings and fried pon choi in garlic and chilli! She spend for the whole meal about 50hk dollar which is around 4 euro. Rating 7.5/10

Mondays meal!!

I was in china for the day, and nicole did shopping for diner! We where going to make a chinese classic. Sweet and sour pork, and we did well, we made a big portion for 2 for about 50 hk dollar! Which is about 4 euro. Rating 7/10

Sundays diner!

First of all I forgot to bring my phone on saturday, we had a great dim sum diner with nicole.... Bad luck, but I go back to that place as it was cheap and very good!!

today we went to the beach, after the beach some cantonese food. We had spicy noodles which where not spicy, beef with vegetables which was brilliant and prawns with sellery and cashew nuts, taste was good but portion way to small.

We paid 213 hk dollar which is almost 20 euro, to much money. Rating 6/10

Hot hot hot ;-)

Today we went for a spicy diner, close to hung hom station you can find a small take out place. The have 3 tables on the pavement where you can eat if there is space.

We where lucky as there was space! We had thinly sliced cold beef with spicy oil, fried pork worth chilly, fried patatoes with chilly and some white rice to cool down. Total cost 104HK dollar for 2 persons, 9.35 euro. Rating 8/10

16th of june sushi with Nicole!

Nicole and I met at a big mall halfway between china and home!

We went for a very nice sushi diner at HIP sushi! We had all kinds of good looking and great tasting sushi.

Swordfish sushi, streamed raddish with gooseliver, sushi with beef, salmon sushi with gold on top, it all tasted great! For 2 persons we paid 500HK dollar which is around 45 euro. Rating 8/10

Dinner on June the 15th

Today I left the office around the clock of  7. So i was not up for buying my stuff and making it myself, I choose to sit down at a udon noodle shop in the metro city mall. I made my choise and had hand made udon noodle soup with some vegetables together with grilled beef spare ribs.

The spareribs where nice and juicy, I love the simple taste of the soup with the crispy vegetables! For this dish I paid 55HK dollar which is 4.95 euro. Rating 7/10

Dinner on June the 14th

Today I did not feel like going out for dinner, but just having dinner at home. Having dinner at home does not mean you have to cook in Hong Kong, in the supermarkets througout Hong Kong they make Sushi and many other dishes fresh all day long! Some supermarkets have a complete kitchen where they make laods of different dishes! Buying those saves a lot of time, and the food is good!

Today I bought myself a salad topped with mango, surumi and crab eggs. Nice salad as I have bought this one before at the Taste supermarket in New Town Plaza. Together with the Salad I bought some fresh salmon sushi and a piece of marinated and grilled duck breast!

Great meal all together! The Sushi tastes fresh and looks good, the Duck was very tastefull. The salad is not that super, but a really nice salad is not easy to find in HK (and if you can find it, it is not cheap!)

Todays spending on my dinner: 89HK dollar which is 7.90 euro. Rating 7.5/10

Dinner on June the 13th

This is the first blog about my food, and as I live in Hong Kong you would not expect me to blog about a burger... but hey Hong Kong is not only great for Asian food! There are also many other options!

Today I had dinner at the Korean Hamburger chain Kraze. They have one outlet in Hong Kong in the Isquare mall in Tsim Sha Tsu.

I went for the menu which was on offer, a chili burger with either fries or salad (I went for the salad as that is much better for me, and I am not a huge fan of fries anyway) with a diet Coke.

The salad was good, nice fresh salad with balsamic vinegar it looked kind of stacked up and was enjoyable to eat! The burger was a nice fresh burger on a good tasty bun! I was not a huge fan of the chili as it had a lack of flavor. The burger was topped with crispy fresh salad, onion and tomato, if you like sauce you can put it on yourself!

I paid 94 HK dollar for the meal which is 8.40 euro. I rated this meal 7.5/10

As I live and work in Hong Kong I have the change to enjoy all the foods of the world in one city! One of my biggest passions in life is cooking and after cooking of course eating of my food!
